For over fifty years Lantzville has had a community newspaper featuring local news, views, and issues of Lantzvillagers. The Log is printed and distributed at the beginning of every month – directly into the mailboxes of all 1800(+) Lantzville homes/businesses and hand delivered to many of the retail outlets located in Lantzville and North Nanaimo. Total circulation of 2000.
Publisher, Julie Winkel, has worked in the newsprint industry since 1993 and has witnessed many changes in the industry. From cut and paste, to the computer revelation in digital graphic design and now to online publishing. Our goal is to create a website where residents can go to to learn about various community issues and events as well as have the opportunity to tell everyone about their event or issues in the community of Lantzville.
