Lantzville Cenotaph Fundraising Program

The “New” Lantzville District Cenotaph fundraising program is well underway with projects in the work’s to reach our goal of $150,000.

One major injection of funds was gratefully accepted by Lantzville’s Mayor Jack de Jong from the Federal Government (Veterans Affairs Canada) delivered by Dr. James Lunney, MP.  Up to $50,000 was approved for the project under the Community War Memorial Program.

Further, a “fundraising” dinner, dance, auction is scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at the Royal Canadian Legion hall on Lantzville Road.  Tickets for the event are available at the Legion for $50 each.

Permanent granite markers for any veteran are being sold for $300 each to be placed as borders on the “Veterans Pathway of Honour” which leads to the Cenotaph.
