Planning for Urban Agriculture: Opportunities to Provide Input

The District of Lantzville is moving forward with a process to explore zoning bylaw changes, with the goal of enabling urban agriculture, while limiting potential impacts on surrounding residents. As part of this process, we would like to hear from residents. Through the summer, there are two opportunities to provide input:

·         A questionnaire is now available online at and in hard copy at the District office.

·         The District will also host focus group discussions for interested residents to dig into the issues further. Please be in touch with the Community Planner if you would like to participate in a discussion.

For further information about the planning process, or to download a copy of the questionnaire, please visit (also available by going to, and following the link under ‘Public Notices / What’s New’). Please feel free to contact the Community Planner at or 250 390-4006 with any questions or concerns. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspectives on urban agriculture in our community.
